Landau Tops. The infamous "Matlock on Wheels", a car topper that your grandparents probably remember with a dentured smile, is relevant (or was it ever?) in the car community thanks to Regular Car Reviews. However, one pioneering, backwards hat wearing youth is set to change the car scene as we know it. A clash of cultures and times. Welcome to Tom Selleck meets Dexter. An amalgamation of Andy Griffith and Walter White. Somewhere, Shirley Temple is heard singing an Iggy Azalea song from the distant sub-soaked speakers of a 1998 Honda Civic, engine revving as the driver pulls into an impromptu car meet in the Target Parking lot. Could this car have you sewing your sleeves back on and trading your New Era hat for a Stetson hat?

Welcome to Landau Stance Nation.

Although not technically a Landau Top, it's along the same lines. See that front wheel angle screaming Camber Gang? The fact that they are actually gold BBS wheels? The de-badged front grill that surprisingly housed a Toyota badge and not a Lexus one despite these "premium features"? All of these are iconic and indicators of the modern stance scene of today. I can see it now on the next edition of some tuner magazine.

The best part about all of this? The driver is probably blissfully unaware of the statement and scene they are creating. That cambered out wheel? Something is probably destroyed behind that flashy mesh wheel. The "de-badged" front end? Probably popped out on this driver's commute to Bingo as they accidentally clip curbs in their boat car. Ask this car's driver what instagram is and their mind instantly goes to the Glycemic Index, wondering just how much an instagram would raise their temperamental blood sugar.

It's great to think about the cultural collision that could be with this car though. I mean, it's got the same BBS wheels (albeit gold) that are on my culturally relevant and popular in the car scene Miata that is parked next to it.

Designed by the Pontiac Aztek.

Palm Trees are a symbol of Florida, a place this car probably frequents.

The Figurative Cherry on Top? The All-Access Leann Rimes pass.

So what are your thoughts on this "Designer Edition Stanced Camry w/alloy wheels"? I think we are seeing our first glimpse into the next car scene trend.
